Ltd. was invited by the respected Vice Admiral CNC Western Navy Command – Vice Admiral Chopra to attend the prestigious inauguration ceremony of INS KOLKATA on the 16th of August, 2014 – commissioned by the honorable Prime Minister of India – Shri Narendra Modi, Finance and Defence Minister – Mr. Arun Jaitely, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Mr. Prithviraj Chavan, RBI Minister Mr. Raghuram Rajan and CNS
INS Kolkata is the country’s largest indigenously built warship at MDL in Mumbai. MDL is a neighbour of A. S. Moloobhoy Pvt. Ltd. and many of our OEM represented equipment was on board the Stealth Destroyer, the first of three similar boats in the same class. Some of the electronics were supplied by Moloobhoys and it was a very proud and patriotic moment for Moloobhoys to be present amidst all this celebration.
